Dear Students and Families of the Pharmacy Technician Program:

I hope this letter finds you well.

Please be reminded that Susie G Gibson Science and Technology Center is closed through March 29, 2020.  The building is closed to students and the public. Students should NOT continue work-based learning during the closure period, and all field trips, assemblies, club meetings, service projects, and other school activities are cancelled and may be rescheduled at a later date.

Our class will not be meeting, and any work completed during the closure period is for enrichment purposes.  This work will not be graded and cannot be required for course completion in terms of high school credits. We also understand that you are preparing for a career about which you care deeply and want to provide you with learning resources during the closure period.  You are encouraged to continue to read your textbook, answer test review questions, utilize your workbook, and practice math problems. If you have technical questions about what you may need to do given your personal and professional goals, please contact me at   Please note that work-based learning opportunities are NOT occuring during the period of school closure.

I understand you may be a dual-enrolled student with Central Virginia Community College.  This school is also working flexibly with students on course requirements. I will share updates with you via email.

I understand you may be concerned about your upcoming credential test, Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE). The tentative plan for taking the practice exam will be mid April. The PTCE is still scheduled for May 12, 2020 at this time.

Please feel free to reach me via email.  I will be working remotely during school hours and will respond to email.  My email address is; school phones are not available.  Again, as your resources allow, we encourage you to use this time to keep learning while observing appropriate guidance on social distancing.

Keep washing your hands, and we will hope to see you soon!
